Mental health support with me is vastly different; you, the client, is placed in the driving seat. I believe that an individual already has the innate ability to heal and bounce back therefore, the focus needs to be on the lived experience. I use a combination of psychological and counselling approaches to achieve therapeutic goals. I am here to offer guidance and advice of my own; I am not here to tell you what to do, but rather show what could be done.

There are some popular misconceptions about counselling/therapy such as: “you have to be crazy to have therapy” or “you have to be suicidal” or “you have to have a diagnosis”. I can assure you, all of these are untrue – therapy is about having someone walk alongside you in your healing journey, to pick you up when the going gets tough and to part with expert knowledge to help you continue to walk life's journey.

I work in an integrative way. This means I use a variety of psychological and counselling modalities to achieve positive outcomes you. I mainly use attachment-based, cognitive behavioural therapy, dialectical behavioural therapy, existential, mindfulness-based therapy, and psychoeducation.

My counselling experience includes volunteering for the NHS as well as various charities, where I have supported clients from different backgrounds and with varying abilities. In addition to counselling, I have worked in HR departments, volunteered for the Citizen Advice and supported young people and students with learning difficulties.

Throughout my years of practice I have endeavoured to honour the trust placed in me by clients to respect their right to be self-governing. I am also committed to promoting client well-being while striving to treat all clients in a fair and impartial manner.

As a counsellor I provide clients with the confidential opportunity to explore personal issues in safety.  I accompany clients through this process without judgement, or direction.

I have been involved in mental health training and services for the past 5 years and have had the pleasure of supporting a wide and varied range of clients face-to-face before and remotely during the Pandemic, it would be a privilege to offer my support to you now as you explore the difficulties in your life.

Whilst I believe that the reasons that bring us to Counselling and Therapy are unique and deeply personal, they often share the common theme of acting as barriers that prevent us from living authentically with ourselves and others. If this matches your experience then therapy may be useful to gain some insight into those feelings.

I am an integratively trained therapist, this means I draw from a variety of sources to understand what you may be experiencing and look at it holistically. My practice is aimed at supporting you in a non-judgmental non-directive way. The core of my practice is humanistic, as such I strive to offer clients a friendly and compassionate therapy experience that supports them as unique and worthy individuals.
